CityWide Tangible Assets provides municipalities with a tool to inventory, value, amortize, and manage their capital assets. This application addresses both the new PSAB 3150 (Canada) and GASB 34 (United States) legislation, which requires local governments to include tangible capital assets in their annual financial statements.

Modeling for Asset Management and Life Cycle Costing" |

PSD has acquired the Global Technology Licensing
Rights for a Long-Term Strategic Financial Modeling
Application for Capital Infrastructure.
The Application allows public sector organizations
to capture the data from their infrastructure inventory
analysis, consolidate it and then facilitate the development
of multiple and unlimited scenarios in real time generating
a series of options and long term recommendations.
Federal/State and/or Provincial, incentives
and funding such as Gas Tax rebates or one time grants
can also be added to the model to reflect the long term
impact and assist appointed and elected officials with
their long term planning.
Results are communicated dynamically through
a graphical interface in layman’s terms. As any
and all financial options can be explored the end result
is an efficient use of staff resources that results
in an effective long-term strategy and plan that can
be understood by all stakeholders.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police has

The Performance Management Unit of the
RCMP Strategic Policy and Planning Branch developed

analysis and display of performance management metrics.
As a dashboard in a car displays important information

The Digest recruits as
part of our research team University students from Master
of Public Administration, MBA, Master of Computer Sciences
and Master of Public Policy programs. These students
assist with research, case studies and special projects.
By introducing these students to applied areas of practice
within the public sector the Digest seeks to encourage
them to consider careers in public service. Digest Members
have access to our interns and can request their services
for special projects or research.
This service is only available to Digest members and
provides an economical alternative to traditional professional
service fees. In addition members are encouraged to
consider graduating interns as potential candidates
for employment within their respective organizations.
