Accounting Clerk
We continue to grow and are therefore seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our London, Ontario office.
 
Role Description
The successful candidate will mainly be responsible for the accounts receivable functions while assisting in executing strategic and operational requirements of the Accounting & Finance department as it relates to client project management.
 
The duties will include:
 
Accounts Receivable
  • Assisting with account invoicing, ensuring that invoice delivery is timely and accurate
  • Following-up on any outstanding Account Receivable balances
  • Posting customer payments by recording cash, cheque and credit card transactions
 
Management Reporting
  • Assisting in preparation of monthly financial reports for management
  • Creation of ad hoc reports in Excel or Sage for financial analysis
  • Other management reporting as required
 
Financial Reporting
  • Preparing of bank reconciliations, income statement verification and expense reviews
  • Preparing monthly Journal Entries
  • Supporting the year-end duties and audits
 
Requirements
  • University/College degree in accounting or related field
  • 1+ years of general accounting experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Previous experience with Sage
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Effective communication skills; ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as clients
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons or facts
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
