MANAGING STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE IN A CHANGING CLIMATE

Ontarians are learning that in a changing climate one of the few things they can expect is the unexpected. Destructive weather and associated flooding are becoming the new normal, and are challenging traditional approaches to stormwater management. Multiple levels of government have responsibilities for stormwater management in Ontario. While municipalities are finding themselves exposed on the front lines, the province also has a responsibility to provide oversight and meet its regulatory role in stormwater planning and management.
