Since the election win of the Liberal party in November 2016 and Stephen Harper’s subsequent decision to step down, the Conservatives have been seeking a viable replacement to lead the party. Possible candidates that have been mentioned include current front-runner and former MP Peter Mackay, MP Tony Clement, and former Minister of Defence Jason Kenney, among others. An unlikely candidate has also recently been added to that list: Founder of O’Leary Funds and television personality Kevin O’Leary.
