Business Development Specialist
PSD is a full-service firm offering research, consulting and software services in the North American public sector market. We are an industry leader that strives to offer our clients innovative and cutting edge solutions for their asset management and financial budgeting needs.
 
As we continue to grow our team, we are seeking a full-time Business Development Specialist to join our London, Ontario office.
 
Role Description
The successful candidate will be mainly responsible for promoting our various products to the public sector via outbound calling, social media, webinars and marketing campaigns. Business Development Specialists are expected to build relationships with public sector managers and decision-makers across North America, professionally representing PSD and generating new business. Duties will also include:
Promotion
  • Promoting and selling research and training services, software tools, and consulting services to senior public sector managers and practitioners across North America
  • Making calls to develop leads for PSD products and services, building rapport with various stakeholders
  • Facilitating the transfer of leads to sales associates, ensuring that detailed client information is communicated clearly
 
Research
  • Organizing and helping to execute marketing webinars for PSD products and services
  • Facilitating PSD Applied Research Projects through the identification of research project partners
 
Administration
  • Assisting with the development of PSD’s repository of client information
     
Requirements
  • University / College degree in Business, Marketing or related program
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, demonstrating adaptability to the needs of specific audiences (entry level to senior management)
  • Proven investigative, interviewing, analytical and critical thinking skills are required
  • 1+ years of sales experience and/or public sector experience is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively self-manage, prioritize and use technology as a productivity tool in a deadline oriented environment is a must
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present and explain in formation and recommendation is considered a requirement
