GIS Data Implementation: Strategies on how best to utilize GIS data work in your organization

May 8th, 2019 1pm - 2pm ET (RECORDED)

Through the Geospatial Maturity Index (GMI), PSD gathered data and insights from more than 146 public sector organizations on their GIS program structure, processes, challenges and achievements. In 2018, PSD published the inaugural GMI Report, naming Canada's Top 25 GIS programs. The first GMI webinar focused on GIS Readiness, exploring geospatial teams and management.

For the second GMI webinar installment, PSD will present findings on the Implementation Section of the GMI survey. In this section, survey respondents provided insight on how their organizations utilize GIS data work. Findings include suggestions for geospatial programs to foster greater innovation and organization on GIS projects, as well as options for future enhancements, expansion, and upgrades of GIS software to meet desired levels of service.
